Alice in Wonderland

Hello, Katrina here. I have been re visiting my love of stamping using the lovely IndigoBlu Alice stamp plates. I especially likes the original art from the book. I was also playing with the Cosmic shimmer chalk mists, if you are not a fan of the sparkle you get with the mica sprays or want a different look then give these a go, I love them and they went so well with the stamps.
Tea Party Alice Card

I used -
* Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Mist Pastel Blue
* Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Mist Pastel Pink
* Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Mist Pastel Purple
* 25 Craft UK A5 Card Blanks White
* IndigoBlu Rubber Stamp Plate Alice 2
* IndigoBlu Rubber Stamp Plate Alice 1
* Craftime Enchanted Paper Flowers
* Craftime Enchanted Pearl Gems
* Creative Expressions Bakers Twine Black & White 50 Yds
* edging die or punch
* Pages from Alice in wonderland
1. Use the chalk mists to spray a piece of A4 card, dry in between colours.
2. Stamp the image of Alice at the Tea party and Alice in Wonderland onto white card, cut out and mat onto black card, cut a small border. Cut or punch your border top and bottom of a mat cut from your misted card. Mount Alice onto it.
3. Cover the front of your card with the pages of your book and ink around the edges. Tie a piece of the Bakers twine around the card.
4. Cut out the Alice in Wonderland and ink around the edges.
5. Use 3D tape to attach the main image to the card and add some flowers and the Alice in wonderland, add gems to the flowers middles and you are done!

Sorry it's late card

* Artistic Stamper Time & Keys A5 Plate
* Plain white card
1. Cut your card blank from the card and stamp the Alice Stamp image with the watch and some clock images from the time stamp plate along with the late saying and cut them all out.
2. Cut a piece of the sprayed card to fit your card and stick down. Ink around the edges.
3. Arrange all the images on the page and once you are happy stick down.
4. Cut sorry from a die cut alphabet or use sticker and your done!
Rabbit tag

I just had to use the rabbit image and so made up this little tag.
I used -
* IndigoBlu Rubber Stamp Plate Alice 2
* IndigoBlu Rubber Stamp Plate Alice 1
* Card you misted for the first card
* Bakers twine
1. Cut the misted card into a tag shape
2. Stamp the rabbit and cut him out, stamp curiouser and curiouser and cut out too.
3. Arrange and stick on your tag.
ATC
And lastly I made a little ATC using the Tweedledum and Tweedledee image and the rhyme from the book. Its amazing how far 1 A4 sheet of card will go.

All these from just 1 A4 sheet, promise!!

Dapper Man ATC

Dapper man ATC
This was made up using the CraftHouse press Men's, Transport and Sport CD rom and the Woodware ATC blanks.
Print out the motor background paper, the dapper man decoupage sheet, the vintage cars background and the small letter sheet. Cut out the elements and collage together.

Katrina's ATC Folder

ATC Folder - If you make or collect ATCs its nice to have something to keep them in to show your friends your collection. This is a lovely way to keep a themed collection together too.

OK you will need-
some card stock,
Woodware Vellum envelope ATC kit,
Crafthouse Press collage sheets - Brodies Imperial collage and American prescription,
U mount Vintage games stamp set,
Distress ink - old paper and Tea die,
old book papers,
Imagination Inkadinks - brights
Alterations Die Chip Block alphabet

To make -
1. From your card stock cut a piece 8 3/4 by 3 inches, a piece 3 3/4 by 3 inches and a third piece 5 1/2 by 3 inch
2. Take your 8 3/4 by 3 piece and score at 4 and 4 1/2 inches. Fold. This is your back and cover. Take the 5 1/2 by 3 piece, with the 3 inch being the height, score and fold every 1/2 inch to form a fan fold. this is the bottom of your folder.
3. Use your Distress inks to age all your card pieces and the stamp the checker board from the U mount stamp set onto the front cover. Using a foam sponge apply the blueberry ice ink from the inkadinks around the outside edges. Cover the reverse with book papers.
4. Use double sided tape to attach the back cover to the fan folded piece. Cut 2 small strips of card and attach them to the front of the fan fold, fold around then back up the back of the fan fold to keep it all under control. Then attach the 3 3/4 by 3 pieces of card stock to the front of the fan fold.
5. Carefully take out 5 of the vellum envelopes, the library card style ones, from the set, make them up and then attach with double sided tape to the back of each fold.
6. Now to decorate the front. Cut out and distress with ink the 2 playing cards from the collage sheet. Stamp onto brown paper the middle part of the Bingo card and the heart and club images from the stamp set with brown ink. Cut out Bingo card strip and use a round punch to cut out heart and club images.Stick the cards and Bingo strip to front cover.
7. Cut another strip of card to make the closer, bend around and stick to the back of inside cover. To this attach the heart and club images and A T C cut from the Alterations alphabet.
All you need to do now is fill it with ATCs!! If you want to use more envelopes, then just make a longer fan fold base. I have made a larger one using little brown envelopes to keep my Cinema tickets in, decorated accordingly.

Home ATC

Home ATC -

Using the Tim Holtz Alterations die Townscape cut different co-ordinating pattern papers, about 3. Take an ATC blank from any of the wonderful ATC blank sets ( I used the Woodware blanks ) and using the Imagination crafts Inkadinks ( I used the brights ) which are my new fave things, paint yourself a background. Don't worry too much about this just a line of green and a wider line of yellow and orange.
Take the Townscape you cut earlier and cut up the individual houses and then re form a line of houses on your ATC. You don't have to copy it to the letter. Once you are happy stick them down.
Use a black pen to outline the houses and add some stars and the word home at the bottom. If you don't want to do your own lettering then you could use stickers or rubber stamps or even the great new alphabet dies from Tim Holtz.

Pattern Wrapped ATCs

Pattern Wrapped ATCs

I bought a bundle of vintage patterns and a pack of them turned out to be modern Prima ones and not very vintage at all, But the white pattern paper makes lovely wrapping paper.
I have used some small pieces to wrap some ATCs for a Postcard ATC swap I am in over on Alternative I tried ageing it with distress inks but i didn't like the effect as much as the bright white paper against the vintage lace. Instead I inked some small white tags and finished each with a silk flower.

I took this picture of my desk after making and wrapping the ATCs, Organised chaos or just chaos? I don't think I'm the only one am I?  Why have a huge workspace and work in 6" square?

Triangular ATCs

Triangular ATCs

I only just found out about these!!! Thanks to the inspiration of Linda and Karen on Alternative I made an ATC banner to hang above the bed. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Laura Ashley Traditional Stamps, Papers, Stickers and Fabric Brads, Junkitz Chipboard alphabet and some coordinating ribbons which I think were AMM.
I could certainly get addicted to making these ATCs and the banners, after wandering in a creative desert for a while I seem to be getting back on track!!

Hals Gal...

 ......Isn't she gorgeous, Carolyn made her specially for Hal so he doesn't get lonely!! Thank you so much she is certainly a suitable companion for him! I also received an envelope full of bits and pieces to use, when I get the time lol and fab Lord of The Rings ATC, which she knows I've been mad about since I was a child, you can see it in the photo gallery
